I'm a singer/songwriter, musician and producer. I'm currently the singer and keyboardist in the soulful rock band DanMingo (http://www.danmingo.com) which features members from Culture Club, Massive Attack and Hawkwind! We're heading for 100,000 plays (as opposed to 'hits') of songs from our double album on www.isound.com/danmingo. I love to collaborate, especially with really talented and charismatic young soul/R&B singer/songwriters and conscious, poetic rappers, and fellow (possibly ancient, like me) passionate classy pop/rock/soul writers, producers and singers. I've written with people as diverse as Shanks (of Shanks & Bigfoot), soul singer Joseph Junior, soon-to-be R&B sensation Chris (C-Kay) Knight, House legend Robert Owens, space-rockers Earth Lab and Spirits Burning and the UK's #1 female rapper, Lady Sovereign (check 'My Pocket Guru' in 'collaborations'). I'm also a damn good keyboard player if anyone needs one! I played on all four of my songs that Roger Daltrey covered over Three albums. Three of them are now available on itunes: 'Bitter & Twisted', 'Martyrs & Madmen' and 'Treachery'. Then there's 'Shot Down In The Night' by Hawkwind and 'I Feel No Pain' by Daniel Pearce (Voices For Darfur. EMI). My new double solo album 'Demos For The Departed' just passed 30,000 plays on www.isound.com/steve_swindells_gb and recently reached #3 in the most-played chart.
